The short answer
The DMUN Foundation educates, represents and researches: it runs free diplomacy programmes for students, speaks for children and youth inside United Nations meetings, and publishes youth-led policy research.
Education
The Foundation offers a diverse range of free, fully online programmes: Model United Nations conferences (including the DMUN Annual Meetings, the world’s largest virtual Model UN conference), regional simulations such as Model European Union, Model Arab League and Model African Union, the Moot Court of International Law, debate competitions, the Sustainability Forum and the DMUN PITCH startup summit. Participation is free for every student, everywhere.
Advocacy and representation
DMUN participates in high-level international conferences with written and oral interventions, conducts bilateral meetings with diplomats and policymakers, and provides written submissions on conventions, treaties and legislation. Its advocacy helped eliminate minimum age requirements in numerous intergovernmental meetings, and its representatives have spoken at the UN General Assembly, ECOSOC, the High-Level Political Forum, COP28, the UN Tax Convention negotiations and the World Bank and IMF Annual Meetings.
Research
Through the Katija Hyoungjoo Neuber Institute, the Foundation produces policy research on youth stakeholder recognition and youth participation in global governance, and publishes its submissions and reports in its Publications library.
