Mr. Joshua Shin delivered a statement on behalf of the DMUN Foundation at the High-level Meeting on Improving Road Safety.
The High-level Meeting reviewed progress on improving global road safety, a leading cause of death for children and young adults worldwide. The Foundation's statement pressed for youth participation in national road-safety strategies and for safe, affordable mobility to be treated as a development priority.
Advocacy of this kind sits at the centre of the Foundation's mandate: bringing the lived experience of children and young people into the rooms where decisions about them are made. Statements are delivered by young representatives themselves, most of them under twenty-five.
The full texts of related statements, submissions and reports are available in the documents library on the Publications page, where they can be filtered by category and year.
