Executive Director Jaewon Choi delivered a statement on behalf of the Major Group for Children and Youth at the First Substantive Plenary.
The Global Mechanism is the permanent successor to the Open-Ended Working Group on ICT security, and the Foundation spoke at its sessions on 21, 22 and 23 July 2026. The statements called for meaningful stakeholder participation in the new mechanism and for attention to the digital security of children and young people.
The Foundation holds accreditations and observer arrangements across the United Nations system, which allow its representatives to take the floor in intergovernmental meetings. Interventions are prepared by the Secretariat and, where applicable, coordinated with the Major Group for Children and Youth, whose constituency the Foundation regularly represents.
