A delegation led by Executive Director Jaewon Choi attended the Interactive Multistakeholder Hearing of the President of the General Assembly on the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.
Thirty years after the Fourth World Conference on Women, the hearing gathered stakeholders to assess implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action. The Foundation attended as part of its standing engagement on gender equality.
Advocacy of this kind sits at the centre of the Foundation's mandate: bringing the lived experience of children and young people into the rooms where decisions about them are made. Statements are delivered by young representatives themselves, most of them under twenty-five.
